Mosaic CD mirror

While cleaning the house I stumbled upon quite a stack of CD's that were not working anymore or that I didn't use. And having a cheap mirror frame lying around for a while, for which I did not have a use yet, I combined the two and made a mosaic mirror frame. Make one yourself, and recycle, save money and have fun!

 Start out with a plain frame.

Cut a load of CD's in pieces. First you can paint the frame any color you want, as a base.

With Elmer glue, or any other strong glue, start sticking the pieces in your desired pattern.

How to turn old credit cards into pendants

 Cut an old credit card or gift card in four, pierce a small hole in one of the corners, sand it, and paint on it whatever you want with acrylic paint. When you're done painting, give them a coat of varnish or white glue. You can put a jump ring through the small hole and use them either as a keyring, earrings, pendants for necklaces etc. Mine are from left to right on the top picture: England, Ukraine, Germany and Finland. You can paint flags on them or make small artworks from them.

Peanut butter cups!

I have tried peanut butter cups for the first time this weekend. After I smeared the chocolate into the cupcake shapes I did not think they would actually harden, but they did! And so I have been eating too much chocolate lately. They taste like some sort of ice cream I used to have as a little kid, but I cannot remember which one! Actually I made some variations as well, with chocolate sprinkles and chocolate easter eggs in them. Day Zero

I have decided to take part in the Day Zero project. So at the moment I am still busy with making my list of 101 goals I want to have achieved in 1001 days. Right now I am at goal number 61. 40 goals to add to my list, and then I plan to start officially. Maybe I will post my progress in between, and update some of the goals in my blog here.

Lauri Ylönen - Heavy

This is the new single of The Rasmus' singer Lauri Ylönen. I have been looking forward to it for months, and he did not dissappoint me, I love the song, and I love the video. It's very creative and something new alltogether.

Diploma and creations

Today I got an e-mail from my school that my diploma is ready to be picked up. It got me rather confused though, because I thought there would be an official sort of ceremony, which takes place every year. On one hand it's better this way, so I am done with this school quicker, but a ceremony wouldn't have been bad... Well I'll see, one way or the other, it will be the last battle that I have to fight with college ever. I'm so glad I graduated!

Anyway, here are some of my latest creations:

Sun Sun baby.

Today it was the first really nice and warm day of the year. Usually I love winter and autumn, but it is incredibly nice to be able to sit in the warm sunlight outside with a good book, worrying about nothing, hearing birds sing and see the first butterflies busy in the garden. I hope there'll be many more of these days coming.

Hurts

I have become addicted to Hurts lately. Unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the concert they gave in my home country. But I won't be sad about that, because there's still their wonderful and beautiful music! It's amazing how every one of their songs is a masterpiece, and brings with it its own magic. I'm in a different world when listening to their music. <3

Hey! So here's the start of my new blog. I love writing about all the things that interest me, which can be very versatile.
